SOFALAATEE// ART AND MUSIC EVENT

Spike Island.

This fun little exhibition was in order to raise money for the fine art 3rd year degree show, and was a BYOB event so of course I got slightly tipsy!
The evening featured music, spoken word and poetry as well as art work from a number of different artists. I especially enjoyed the variation of different platforms of art, as I am a big fan of expressing yourself in any way you can.

DISMALAND - WESTON SUPER MARE

Banksy, a Bristolian legend. For six weeks, his Dismaland Bemusement park inhabited the abandoned and disused Tropicana in WSM.

Over the summer I visted the Banksy Dismaland art exhibition and "Bemusment park" with my family and my boyfriend and friends. Banksy in his usual extravagant, mysterious and politically astute way ensured that from the artwork to the actors,  everything fitted the "Dismal" mood of the park.
The art gallery was a highlight and each piece of artwork seemed to fit the sombre but poignant nature of the  from different artists including Damien Hurst and a number of Banksy peices including the disco grim reaper.
